FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Orford, New Hampshire, October 30, 2014 – Today the Uniting Amendment released a report that details how the country has devolved into a state of corruption, divisiveness, and ineffectiveness. The report highlights the events that have contributed to an erosion of liberty, democracy and justice, and have increased political instability.

It shows how recent events -- the proximate causes that have occurred during the last couple of decades -- were enabled by decisions and events going back to the beginning of the 20th century. It explains how the assassination of William McKinley led to a rise in corruption during the early 1900's that in turn led to knee-jerk Supreme Court decisions which caused waves of crises that swept away many of our constitutional rights. Those events have enabled recent legislation, court rulings and executive actions that have seriously endangered our civil liberties today.

The report also details an extensive list of recent corruption scandals numbering over 300 since the year 2000.

The purpose of the report is two-fold. First, it allows those who are helping to write the Uniting Amendment to examine some of the country's mistakes and produce a better document. Secondly, the report establishes the reasons why our democracy is failing and the causes that compel the development of the amendment.

The report is in wiki form and, as with the Uniting Amendment, everyone is invited to help improve it.

The Uniting Amendment is the comprehensive amendment to the Constitution of the United States that covers nearly all of the issues: Citizenship and immigration, Suffrage, Equity, Civil rights, The Budget and taxes, Responsibilities and duties, Representation, The Supreme Court, Integrity, Basic assistance, The Census List, The Environment, The right to teach and learn, Right of self-defense, Right to control your own body, Property rights and commerce, Privacy and Security, Right to religious expression, Due process, and much more...

The amendment is based on our country's common values of Liberty and Justice, with the goal of increasing Integrity and Compassion. Although the amendment covers many issues, it leaves intact the form and structure of our government: a democratic republic with the same three branches of government. All those who call America home may contribute their ideas to the document.

As part of a larger effort to rebuild the country, the amendment intends to reestablish a government that is more fair, more free, and has the integrity and compassion needed to move the country forward. The project has already developed many fresh, innovative ideas that solve long-entrenched, difficult problems.

The Uniting Amendment project is being facilitated by Egalib, Inc., a publishing company located in Orford, New Hampshire.
