The Uniting Amendment |
Can people write their own laws?
The Uniting Amendment is the crowdsourced amendment to the Constitution written by the citizens of the United States. The document establishes a stable foundation to help rebuild our country. Washington isn't up to the task so we're doing it ourselves. We're drafting an amendment that will reform our government to be more fair, more free, and have the integrity and compassion needed to move forward. With input from just a few thousand people, we've already developed many fresh, innovative ideas that solve long-entrenched, difficult problems. The current draft of the amendment:
It does all this while increasing our liberty and ensuring fairness in society. But the document is far from complete. If you care about the future of our country, don't just sit there – join us. Contribute your ideas on how we can make the country better, freer, and more fair.

Our common values
We all share the cherished values that have endured since our nation's inception: justice and liberty. Everyone in the United States has those values. If someone in the U.S. doesn't believe in liberty and justice, they're living in the wrong country. Liberty and justice define our national creed and the Uniting Amendment is guided by those common values. Integrity and compassion are two other widely held values, but they are nearly absent from “The lesson is: don't start overthrowing governments with the idea that nothing could be worse. They'll always come up with something worse. Let's wait until we have a blueprint and we know where we're going before we start setting processes in motion.”
Beta test
We're currently beta-testing this website. Since it's a beta test, there could be a few bugs so please report any issues at the Beta test discussion page. Also, we're still filling in content, so feel free to roll up your sleeves and write some stuff (after you've read the current version of the Amendment, of course). Found a problem? Let us know |
